Houston PolyTank is the U.S. engineering authority behind high-performance HDPE and PP structures for industrial and municipal systems. We do not manufacture off-the-shelf tanks. We build extrusion-wound, monolithic structures engineered to outperform steel, fiberglass, and concrete in the harshest industrial environments, including the only patented extrusion-wound rectangular HDPE tank design manufactured in the U.S. (U.S. Patent No. 10,150,264B2).

Our tanks are made by extruding polyethylene or polypropylene around a drum mold. Tanks range from 50 gallons to 50,000 gallons in capacity and are ready for installation immediately.
Pipes and Ductwork

Your Source for Large-Volume Tanks
Houston PolyTank, LLC formed in 2010 to introduce the extrusion wound plastic tanks to the United States market. The company formed a partnership between a steel manufacturing company, J.L. Houston. The manufacturing plant was built from the bottom up in Hopkins, Missouri. Six months later, we started production of the extrusion wound plastic tanks.
Today, the company doubled the number of original molds and has the capability of manufacturing 50 to 50,000 gallon plastic tanks. Houston PolyTank has customers all around the U.S. and Canada, and our tanks are installed and operating from Long Island in the East Coast to Southern California in the West and Alaska.

Our Story
Houston PolyTank was founded to solve a critical gap in the U.S. market: the need for engineered, corrosion‑proof alternatives to concrete, steel, and fiberglass. Traditional materials were failing in harsh industrial and municipal environments, and no domestic manufacturer was delivering extrusion‑wound, monolithic HDPE at scale.
We built that capability from the ground up.
Formed in 2010, we constructed our Hopkins, Missouri facility specifically for extrusion‑wound thermoplastic manufacturing – built exclusively for custom, made-to-order fabrication at industrial scale. Since then, we’ve expanded our capabilities, doubled our mold inventory, and grown into a trusted engineering partner for industrial processors, water and wastewater systems, chemical facilities, and municipal infrastructure teams across North America.
