Pipes and Ductwork

Engineered HDPE and PP Pipe Systems for Industrial and Municipal Infrastructure

Houston PolyTank manufactures industrial-grade HDPE and polypropylene pipe systems engineered for long-term reliability in industrial, municipal, and corrosive environments. Our extrusion-wound manufacturing process delivers uniform wall thickness, exceptional structural integrity, and superior chemical resistance — outperforming traditional steel, fiberglass, and commodity plastics in the applications that demand the most.

Whether specified for chemical conveyance, municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, high-temperature process piping, or high-specific-gravity materials, Houston PolyTank pipe systems are built to deliver decades of dependable service with minimal maintenance.

Engineered for Demanding Industrial and Municipal Applications

Our industrial HDPE and polypropylene pipe systems are designed and manufactured for environments where commodity pipe cannot perform. Every pipe is engineered to maintain structural performance under thermal, chemical, and mechanical stress — across the full range of conditions found in continuous-duty industrial and municipal service.

Our pipe systems are specified for:

  • Industrial chemical conveyance
  • Municipal water and wastewater
  • High‑temperature process systems
  • Corrosive and abrasive materials
  • High‑specific‑gravity fluids
  • Continuous‑duty operations

Material Options for Performance

We manufacture pipe systems using two high-performance polymer materials, selected based on chemical compatibility, operating temperature, pressure, and application requirements:

High-Density Linear Polyethylene (HDPE) For applications up to 120°F with excellent chemical resistance across a broad range of acids, bases, and industrial chemicals.

Polypropylene (PP) For high-temperature applications between 180°F and 200°F, engineered for demanding process environments where HDPE's temperature range is insufficient.

Material selection guidance is available from our engineering team for any application.

Pipe System Overview

Extrusion-Wound Manufacturing Advantages

Houston PolyTank pipe systems are produced using the same proven extrusion-wound process used in our tank systems — a manufacturing method that delivers structural performance that fabricated or commodity pipe cannot replicate:

  • Seamless, monolithic construction
  • Uniform wall thickness throughout
  • High hoop strength
  • Superior corrosion resistance
  • Long service life with minimal maintenance
  • Custom diameters and wall thicknesses available

This is engineered infrastructure. Not commodity pipe.

Product Family

Houston PolyTank offers a complete pipe system lineup engineered for compatibility and long-term performance:

Metal Mesh Reinforced Pipes — Patented structural reinforcement for high-demand applications.

Standard HDPE and PP Pipes  — Extrusion-wound, corrosion-resistant, and custom-fabricated to specification.

Fittings & Accessories — Elbows, tees, reducers, flanges, couplings, manways, and custom-fabricated components.

Metal Mesh Reinforced Pipes

Patented Hybrid Polymer Reinforcement Technology

Houston PolyTank offers a complete pipe system lineup engineered for compatibility and long-term performance:

Houston PolyTank's Metal Mesh Reinforced Pipes are manufactured using the patented Hybrid Polymer Pipe and Tile forming process (U.S. Patent No. 10,766,209) — a proprietary method that integrates a structural metal mesh layer directly into the polymer matrix during extrusion winding.

The result is a reinforced composite pipe with exceptional hoop strength, superior rigidity, and long-term dimensional stability under pressure, burial load, and continuous-duty operation.

This is not a laminated or bonded construction. The mesh and polymer become a single monolithic structure — eliminating weak points, delamination risk, and the structural vulnerabilities common to traditional plastic, fiberglass, or steel pipe alternatives.

For demanding industrial and municipal applications where both chemical resistance and structural strength are required, Metal Mesh Reinforced Pipe delivers performance that commodity pipe systems cannot match.

Metal Mesh Reinforced Pipes are available in both primary polymer materials:

HDPE – Excellent chemical resistance; suitable for applications up to 120°F

PP – Engineered for high‑temperature applications between 180°F and 200°F

Material selection is based on chemical compatibility, temperature, pressure, and application requirements.

Reinforced for Structural Performance

Houston PolyTank offers a complete pipe system lineup engineered for compatibility and long-term performance:

The integrated metal mesh layer provides measurable structural advantages over standard polymer pipe:

  • Increased hoop strength
  • Enhanced rigidity under load
  • Improved resistance to deformation
  • Industrial‑grade metal mesh used as the reinforcement layer.
  • Superior performance under pressure and load
  • Long‑term dimensional stability in continuous-duty service

This reinforcement makes Metal Mesh Pipes ideal for demanding industrial and municipal systems where traditional plastics, fiberglass, or steel alternatives cannot deliver the required structural performance.

Extrusion-Wound, Monolithic Construction

MHouston PolyTank ductwork systemsetal Mesh Reinforced Pipes share the same proven extrusion-wound construction used across Houston PolyTank's full product line:

  • Seamless, monolithic construction
  • Controlled extrusion‑winding for dimensional uniformity
  • Consistent wall thickness from end to end
  • No weak points, introduced by fabrication or assembly
  • Large-diameter polyethylene pipe manufactured using extrusion-wound, monolithic construction — seamless, joint-free, and engineered for demanding industrial and municipal applications.
  • Structural integrity maintained under thermal cycling, burial loads, and continuous-duty operation

Gas and Particulate Conveyance

While piping systems are engineered to convey liquids, ductwork is engineered to convey gases, fumes, and particulates — and Houston PolyTank's extrusion-wound HDPE and polypropylene pipe systems are built to perform in both applications. The same uniform wall thickness, corrosion resistance, and structural integrity that make our pipe systems the engineered choice for liquid conveyance apply equally to industrial gas and particulate handling.

Engineered for Industrial Exhaust and Fume Handling

HMetal mesh being integrated into the polymer matrix during the patented Hybrid Polymer Pipe & Tile forming process.ouston PolyTank ductwork systems are specified for industrial environments where corrosive gases, hazardous fumes, and airborne particulates demand a conveyance solution that commodity duct materials cannot reliably deliver:

  • Industrial exhaust systems
  • Chemical fume extraction
  • Shop floor and process ventilation
  • Sanding and dust collection systems
  • Laboratory hood exhaust
  • Hazardous particulate conveyance
  • Tank venting systems
